Annak ellenére, hogy mindössze 16 év volt az átlagéletkoruk, amikor debütáltak, már nyertek egy Echo díjat a "Best Newcomer" kategóriában, amely az egyik legnagyobb megtiszteltetés a német zenei körben, rövid idő alatt. A Tokio Hotel a vizuális hangú Bill Kaulitz, a hip hop gitáros Tom, akinek fonatai vannak, és ő az idősebb testvér. A basszer Georg Listing, a dobos pedig Gustav Schäfer. Rákerestetek Tajvanra a Google-n, mielőtt idejöttetek?
TH: Nem igazán (nevetnek). Ez az első alkalom, hogy Ázsiában járunk, és szerintünk ez a hely nagyon titokzatos. A világ másik oldaláról jövünk, és nagyon jó érzés volt, amikor megtudtuk, mennyi rajongónk van itt.
Hallottatok már valaha bármilyen tajvani előadót?
TH: Nem, még mindig nem volt erre esélyünk, de szeretnénk többet megtudni arról a fajta zenéről, melyet a tajvani emberek hallgatnak.
Mi volt az első kínai szó, melyet megtanultatok?
TH: A bandánk neve, a "Tokio Hotel". A sajtótájékoztatón voltak gyerekek, akik pólóján a zenekar neve volt, és a szervezők árulták el ezt nekünk. Ezek a gyerekek nagyon édesek voltak!
Mi volt az első benyomásotok a tajvani rajongókról?
TH: Nem hisszük, hogy őrültek, de gyönyörűek. Rengeteg rajongót láttunk, akik a reptéren üdvözöltek minket, és sok plakátot csináltak németül. Voltak olyan rajongók is, akik portrékat rajzoltak, melyek nagyon meghatóak voltak számunkra. A tajvani rajongók mindig követik a szabályokat, és nagyon udvariasak, szerintünk ők a rajongóink egyik legjobb csoportja.
Miért szeretitek annyira Tokiót?
TH: Németország egyik kisvárosából jövünk, szóval mindig is akartuk látni a külvilágot. Amikor kicsik voltunk, tudtuk, hogy van egy "Tokió" nevezetű város, és úgy hangzott, hogy sok csodálatos dolog van ott. Bár még mindig nem voltunk Tokióban, de reméljük, hamarosan lesz esély arra, hogy az ottani rajongóink előtt is felléphessünk.
Soroljátok fel az 5 kedvenc hoteleteket!
TH: Azok a hotelek, melyek a legmélyebb benyomást keltették bennünk, Madridban, Moszkvában, Párizsban, és Berlinben vannak. Természetesen a tajvani hotel, ahol most tartózkodunk, szintén nagyszerű!
Mikor kezdtetek el vegetariánusok lenni?
TH: Nem emlékszünk már rá, de az ok nagyon egyszerű: nem akarunk megölni állatokat. Nekünk embereknek nem kellene az állatok életét elvennünk a vágyaink miatt, és semmi rossz nem történne, ha nem eszünk húst! (nevetnek) - yep, csak éppenséggel káros az egészségre, ha nem jut olyan tápanyag a szervezetbe, amely csak a húsban van meg 8) - szerk.
4 kutyátok van, megmondanátok nekünk a neveiket? Tudnátok róluk mutatni képeket? Ki vigyáz rájuk, amikor turnéztok?
TH: Sajnálom, nem mondhatjuk el a nevüket, ez a mi kis titkunk (nevet). A szüleink szintén kutyabarátok, szóval ők vigyáznak a kutyáinkra, amikor nem vagyunk otthon. Ezért köszönetet kell mondanunk nekik! (nevet).
Gondoltatok valaha arra, hogy a rocksztárság mellett más munkába kezdjetek? Mint például egy sminkes?
TH: Őszintén szólva még nem igen gondolkoztam erről, mert mi egy zenekar vagyunk, és amikor kicsik voltunk, akkor is úgy éreztük, mindig a zenéhez fogunk kötődni. Nem hiszem, hogy más munka felé néznénk, mint például a rendőr vagy tűzoltó, mert a zene a legfontosabb dolog számunkra.
Végül, tudjátok használni a "Humanoid" albumon levő dalokat arra, hogy önmagatokat jellemezzétek?
TH: Nagyon nehéz használni dalokat, amely leírja az érzéseinket, mert minden dal különböző szempontot jellemez, és olyanok, mint a gyerekeink. Nincsen kedvencem, de ha választani kellene, az "Automatic" című számot választanám, mert ez a dal mindent elmond a technológiáról és az emberi kapcsolatokról.

Tokio Hotel is formed by Visual Vocal Bill Kaulitz, Hip Hop Guitarist Tom who has dreadlocks and is the elder twin, Bassist Georg Listing and drummer Gustav Schaefer. P: Did you google "Taiwan" before you came? TH: Not really (laughter). This is the first time of us to visit Asia and we think this place is very mysterious. We come another part of the world so we felt really warm when we knew that we had so many fans here.
P: Have you ever listened to any music of Taiwan singers? TH: No, we still haven't had this chance but we do want to know more about the kinds of music that Taiwan people are listening to.
P: What is the first Chinese word that you learnt? TH: Our band name "Tokio Hotel". On the press conference, there were children who wore shirts with our band name on them and the host told us about it. Ha, those children are really cute! (the editor: those 4 children, good job! If anyone has photos of them please provide them to us.)
P: What is your first impression of Taiwan fans? TH: We don't think they are crazy, but they are beautiful (Woahh). We saw a lot of fans welcoming us at the airport and they had made some posters with German on them. There were also fans who drew portraits of us which was very touching. Taiwan fans always follow the rules and are polite, we think that they are one of the best group of our fans. (Is it true?)
P: Why are you so obsessed with Tokyo? TH: We came from a small town of Germany so we always want to see the outside world. We knew there was a city called "Tokyo" when we were small and it soundsed like it had many amazing stuff there. Although we still haven't been to Tokyo, we hope we can have the chance soon so we can perform for our fans there.
P: Please list your favourite top 5 hotels. TH: The ones that we have deepest impression are the hotels in Madrid, Moscow, Paris and Berlin. Of course the Taiwan hotel that we are staying in is great too! (editor: graceful answer.)
P: When did you start to be vegetarians? TH: We can't remember, but the reason is very simple that we don't want to kill animals. We humans should not take away animal's lives because of our desires and nothing bad would happen even if we didn't eat meat! (laughter)
P: You have 4 dogs, Do you mind telling us their names? Could you share their photos with us? Who is responsible for taking care of them when you are on tour? TH: Sorry we can't tell their names as this is our little secret (laughter). Our parents are also dog lovers so they will take care of our dogs when we are not at home. We have to thank them! (laughter)
P: Have you ever think of having other jobs besides singers and rock stars? Such as a professional make up artist? TH: Frankly I have never thought about it because we were a band when we were small and it feels like we are always doing things related to music. I never think of others job like policeman or fireman, music is the most important thing to us.
P: Lastly, can you use the songs in your new album "Humanoid" to describe yourselves? TH: It is very hard to use the songs to describe our looks or feelings because every song is about different aspect and they are like our kids. I don't have a favourite one but if I must choose one, I will choose "Automatic" because this song tells about the advanced technologies and their impacts on human relationships.

Tokio Hotel released the "Humanoid City Live"-DVD/CD
After several virtual show cases given in October 2009, Tokio Hotel was visiting France in April 2010, as part of their "Humanoid City Tour. In this futuristic and urban and the group played their biggest hits live. The sets were created by Misty Buckley and his team, some of them had already collaborated on the decoration of the film by Luc Besson The Fifth Element. Bill Kaulitz appeared on stage as if it came from another universe with a futuristic look dress and then melted in a setting with metal bridges, fireballs, lighting features in the Age of Apocalypse.
The show was filmed by Jim Gable (who has worked on concerts of AC / DC, Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, etc..). With 15 cameras, they made the show look incredibly innovative HD. The concert was recorded at Milan with an audience overheated and won the first second of the beginning of the concert. This CD / DVD titled Live Humanoid City has many bonus: an EPK, a photo gallery, pictures of the group rehearsing the concert in London ... The excerpt will be the single is Darkside Of The Sun.

Indeed, after Automatisch and World Behind My Wall is Darkside Of The Sun (Sonnensystems in its Germanic) was chosen as the third single from the last album of Tokio Hotel, Humanoid. A title that the French public has been able to find on the tour is particularly moved by Paris-Bercy April 14, 2010!

The guitarist of Tokio Hotel, Tom Kaulitz (20) had recently revealed to the German "Bild" that he had tried out viagra. Tom stated that he had a bit too many of those little blue pills, so he felt a bit ill afterwards. "It all happened on Taiwan on our Asian trip. I took one, later I took two more when I was on my way to the hotel with a girl. That was too much for me, probably, becuase I felt me head falling apart the next couple of days, and my sight was also very blurry." said the guitarist. His brother Bill made a comment on the situation: "I don't understand why he needed that. He's horny all the time, anyway..."
